  13. In this lesson, we will study that TO RECEIVE HEALING THROUGH
  14. CHRIST, YOU MUST KNOW FOR CERTAIN FROM THE WORD OF GOD that it is
  15. HIS WILL FOR YOU TO BE well.

  17. You never learn to bat just listening how to bat! You must start
  18.           batting! 
  19. You never learn to pray, just listening to someone teach on the
  20. subject ... YOU MUST START TO PRAY.
  21. You never learn to drive a car just listening to someone's
  22. instructions! YOU LEARN BY DOING IT.
  23. Most people would rather be listeners than doers!

  25. TO RECEIVE HEALING FROM CHRIST YOU MUST KNOW GOD'S PROMISES TO
  26. HEAL.
  27. YOU MUST BE CONVINCED THAT THESE PROMISES ARE FOR YOU PERSONALLY.

  30. So many folk say "Perhaps it is not God's Will to heal you." WHY
  31. DO WE NOT PRAY THE SAME WAY REGARDING SIN? If you were witnessing
  32. to an unbeliever, you would not say "Well, maybe it is not God's
  33. Will for you to be saved and cleansed from your sin.  We will
  34. pray, if it be Thy will, Lord, save this person.  No!  We believe
  35. God's Word.  We believe His Promise. We believe John 3:16.  We
  36. believe John 1:12. We believe Romans 10:9,10.  We believe 2 Cor. 
  37. 5:17.  We believe Revelation 3:20.  We believe  God's  Word is 
  38. relative to today for all who will come to Christ,  and we act on 
  39. His Word and prove it to be so!
  40.  
  41. We must get that same confidence and assurance within our hearts
  42. that GOD'S WILL IS FOR US TO BE HEALED.
  43.                    GOD'S WORD IS GOD'S VOICE TO US.
  44.                    GOD'S WORD IS GOD'S WILL FOR US.
  45. When you read the Bible, believe it is GOD SPEAKING TO YOU.
  46. Unless you believe in the integrity of God's written Word, you
  47. will never have a sound basis for faith.  WE MUST GIVE THE WORD
  48. THE SAME PLACE YOU WOULD GIVE CHRIST IF HE WERE STANDING IN YOUR
  49. PRESENCE.

  51. The amount of respect we give to God's Word is the amount of
  52. respect we give to God.  When you read the Bible - when you
  53. meditate on His Word and know that Jesus still heals today ---
  54. THEN YOU MUST KNOW THAT GOD PROMISES IN HIS WORD TO HEAL YOU.
  55. YOU CANNOT HELP ANYONE WHO DOES NOT WANT TO HEAR THE WORD.  In the
  56. Bible, you see GOD'S NATURE REVEALED to us .. and you see GOD'S
  57. ATTITUDE revealed towards sin, sickness and disease.  God's nature
  58. has not changed and His attitude has not changed towards sin,
  59. sickness and disease.

  61. Matthew 8:16,17 quotes Isaiah 53:4 and this verse is telling us
  62. that Jesus actually took the cause of our sickness and disease. 
  63. JESUS HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES, AND BARE OUR SICKNESSES.

  65. Many are confused about the chastening of the Lord and equate this
  66. with sickness and disease.  If a person believes that God is
  67. chastening them with sickness then it would be presumptuous on
  68. their part to ask God to take it away.  Hebrews 12:6,7 is commonly
  69. used to equate sickness with the chastening of the Lord. This
  70. passage compares the chastening of the Lord with that of a human
  71. parent.  Jesus compared God with an earthly father.  Matt. 7:11. 
  72. To understand this we must always keep in mind the comparison of
  73. God with an earthly father.

  75. "Chasten" in the Greek is PAIDEUO and denotes "TO TRAIN A CHILD
  76. suggesting education, teaching, instruction, learning, teaching,
  77. correction, discipline."
  78. PAIDEIA (Greek.) is used in Ephesians 6:4, implying tutorage,
  79. education or training,
  80. disciplinary correction.

  82. A good father would never get his son into trouble but would do
  83. every possible to get him out of trouble.  He may use the occasion
  84. to teach him or drive home some truth.  God always has our good in
  85. mind.

  87. Jesus said, ye are clean through the Word.       John 15:3
  88. Hebrews 4:12 says it is the Word which is Spirit that God uses to
  89. teach us through our spirits.
  90. 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable
  91. for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in
  92. righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for
  93. every good work." v.17

  95. MEDITATE AND GET GOD'S WORD IN YOUR SPIRIT Joshua 1:8,9  Psalm
  96. 1:2, Col.3:16

  98.                OUR WORDS LOCATE US.
  99.                OUR WORDS ARE OUR FAITH SPEAKING.

  101. You must know the truth of God's Word IN YOUR OWN LIFE.  The Word
  102. must STAY INSIDE YOU - not stay inside the cover.  The Word should
  103. be on our lips! Joshua 1:8,9
  104.  
  105. God's Word must get off the pages and into our spirits so that out
  106. of the abundance of our heart, our mouth will speak.  GOD'S WORD
  107. IS TRUE and WE MUST KNOW THE REALITY OF IT.  YOU MUST RELY UPON
  108. THE INTEGRITY OF GOD'S WORD.

  110. TO  LOVE GOD is to LOVE GOD'S WORD
  111. John 14:21-24  To love God, you will love His Word.
  112.                To love God, you will keep His Word 365 days a
  113.                year:

  115. QUOTE THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD
  116. Jesus said to the devil, "It is written thou shalt not tempt the
  117. Lord thy God" Matthew 4:7.  When the Word is LIVING BIG WITHIN
  118. YOUR SPIRIT (Col.3:16), you will be able to say in the face of
  119. spiritual warfare, "I resist you in the Word and in the Name of
  120. Jesus' and you will win! The devil will flee.

  122. John 8:31,32 IF you continue in My Word .. it shall make you free. 
  123. OUR EXPERIENCE SHOULD BE AN ONGOING ONE IN THE WORD.

  125. Under the Old Covenant, God said "I'll take sickness  away  from
  126. the midst of thee .. there shall be no one miscarrying or barren
  127. in your land; I will fulfil the number of your days." ... BUT YOU
  128. SHALL SERVE THE LORD YOUR GOD! Exodus 23:25,26

  130. Under the New Covenant, we have better promises .. it's a better
  131. covenant.  Hebrews 8:6
  132.  
  133. Sickness is a CURSE OF THE LAW.  Deut. 28.  This chapter covers
  134. every disease known and it is curse for breaking God's law.  But
  135. Gal. 3:13 tells us Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the
  136. law.  Rise up and say "Satan, in Jesus'
  137.  
  138. Name, go from me!"  YOU HAVE WILL POWER! YOU HAVE ABILITY TO
  139. CHOOSE.Deut.30:19,20.

  141. IS GOS'S WORD REAL TO YOU?  Prov.4:20-23 Today, you can be well. 
  142. GOD WANTS TO HEAL YOU!
